Guidestone Colorado is a Chaffee County-based nonprofit dedicated to growing a vibrant agricultural future through education, community building, and partnerships. Guidestone’s programmatic approach provides services to farmers, ranchers, educators, youth, and community members through four cornerstone programs: Colorado Land Link, Farm to School, Farmhands Youth Education, and the Hutchinson Homestead & Learning Center.
In this month's Lunch & Learn, join Andrea Earley Coen & Emma Lietz Bilecky from Guidestone Colorado to learn more about Guidestone's work, with a particular focus on the Colorado Land Link Program, now in its second decade connecting farmers and ranchers seeking access to land with landowners across Chaffee County and beyond. Learn about the trends and challenges of agricultural land and water access for young and beginning farmers and ranchers and how landowners can help build local food systems through creative land transfer, land tenure, and land sharing arrangements. This workshop is designed to show realtors and new agricultural landholders how they can partner with landseekers through the Colorado Land Link network to cooperatively manage agricultural land.
