Description

This seminar will cover all aspects of the law related to water rights and ditch rights as applied in Colorado. Subject matter includes the appropriation, perfection, limitations, attributes, use, abandonment, and enforcement of various types of water rights. Additional subject matter will include special rules for groundwater, public rights in appropriated water, Federal and interstate compacts, and more.

REALTORS® who attend the training with attendance verification will receive eight continuing education credits.

Appraisers who attend the training with attendance verification will receive four continuing education credits.

Attorneys who attend the training with attendance verification will receive eight continuing education credits.

IF you are a real estate licensee, an Appraiser, AND an Attorney, you will receive three separate certificates.

This class is open to non-ROCC members, including interested members of the public, government officials, and non-profit leaders.

REALTOR®: “It’s just the way it is in rural Colorado”

Client: “Then, what can I use the water in the ditch that runs through the property for?”

REALTOR®: “You can’t, the water belongs to your neighbor”
