SUMMARY:Spring 2026 Professional Standards Enforcement Training
DESCRIPTION:Virtual 6 CE credit class Sponsored by CTM eContractsA comprehensive session on ethics\, arbitration\, mediation\, and hearing procedures. This training will provide an in-depth review of how the Professional Standards Enforcement process works\, and the roles of REALTOR volunteers throughout the process. This course will identify the most important policies and procedures that members need to know while serving on Grievance or as a member of a hearing panel or appeal panel. The objective is to make every REALTOR volunteer an effective and efficient member of the Professional Standards System.\n\nThis course is required every two years for all members of CAR's Professional Standards & Grievance Committees. New Committee members must take the course before serving on a hearing panel or the Grievance Committee. This is a two-day course\; attendees must participate on both days to qualify.\n\nTo qualify for CE credit\, all participants must complete the polling questions throughout the session\, attend the class with their camera on\, and be in view of their camera for the entire duration of the session.\nMeet the Instructor:Scott Peterson is an experienced real estate and business professional with an extensive background representing individuals and companies on a broad range of matters. He currently serves as General Counsel for the Colorado Association of REALTORS (CAR)\, the state's largest real estate trade association. CAR is dedicated to serving nearly 23\,500 Colorado REALTORS and 28 local REALTOR associations statewide.As General Counsel\, Scott is responsible for advising the CAR Board of Directors\, Leadership Council\, and the CAR CEO on legal matters related to the Association's business. In addition\, he provides legal support and education directly to CAR members and the state's local REALTOR associations through the CAR Legal Hotline and various education/speaking events.
